Trends and advancements in the sampling and preservation of samples for the identification of contaminants of emerging concern

2-3 March 2016

The workshop on the “Trends and advancements in the sampling and preservation of samples for the identification of contaminants of emerging concern” discussed the challenges and pit-falls of working with emerging contaminants.

The workshop tackled three specific themes:
• How do we effectively sample for emerging compounds?
• How do we conveniently store samples for future emerging compounds?
• What are the future trends for the sampling analysis of emerging compounds?

The main objectives of the workshop were to discuss and evaluate the effectiveness of the approaches currently in place for sampling, banking and preservation of samples for emerging contaminant identification, and to develop a framework for identifying the next generation of emerging compounds.

Presentations and report will soon be available
